Turns out family trail rides can be incredibly peaceful. It was such a treat to hang with the gentle giants of Willow Grove Farm and mosey along the Columbia Trail in Long Valley, New Jersey. Willow Grove Farm is home to the most charming, calm, Clydesdale horses.
This was the first trail ride for our boys and we weren’t sure how it would go. Having to climb a set of stairs just to get on the horse gave us a slight pause, but we were in expert hands with both the guides and the horses. We thought the boys might be bored with the leisurely pace, but the power of the horses, the sound of the river, and beauty of the fall day had us all mesmerized. We will definitely ride again.
